In its standard form a vehicles Diesel Particulate Filter, or tdi dpf and fap cycle can be troublesome for a range of reasons. There are many contributing factors as to why a dpf fails, i.e blocked egr valve, dirty or faulty injector, faulty air sensor to name a few. To reduce driver inconvenience and costly repairs we can delete DPF function from the ecu and combine it with a physical dpf removal if required.
With the DPF cycle being controlled from the ECU (Engine Control Unit), a software removal is a must to stop long term problems with regeneration. We will access your ECU through the OBD port (On Board Diagnostics), run a full ecu sweep of all modules to check for errors (Vehicle type dependant) and report any findings. We then download a copy of your management program and remove the regeneration cycle from the software. Once the changes have been made we then upload the new management program to your cars ecu and run a secondary ecu sweep with the diagnostics software.
So here is what's included in the software dpf deletion option;

DPF errors cleared (where possible, additional parts or diagnostics may be required at additional cost)
DPF soot count reset
Once the dpf has been deleted from the ecu it is recommended that the dpf also be physically removed, as the dpf will block up and cause further problems with the vehicle!
